Phra Pidta

Phra Pidta, or closed eye Buddha, was one of Buddha's most faithful disciples. He was always gracious, kind, generous, and smart. The hands over the eyes represent a blocking out of the outside world while in meditation, as well as protection against evil. The talisman is thought to bring good fortune.
