Karma Wheel

According to the Buddhist perspective, our existence is but one in a long line of others. In this incarnation, one is harvesting the fruits of their prior lives' karma, while also sowing fresh seeds that will mature in the next. A higher state of existence can be followed by an even better or worse one, depending solely on how it is used, because there is no natural development involved in this process. The "wheel of life" is a representation of this never-ending cycle of existence, which involves moving upward or downward from one life to the next and returning repeatedly, out of habit, to the same patterns of behavior in order to reap repeatedly the same rewards.
