Vajra
Combining the diamond with the lightning bolt, Vajra is a potent emblem. The diamond is a material that can cut yet cannot be cut. As such, it is a representation of a steadfast character. The lightning bolt also stands for immense strength and the capacity to combat ignorance and darkness. Together, they make up the Vajra, which stands for compassion, the strongest force in the universe, and the surest route to enlightenment. Indra, the Hindu deity of thunder, is represented by the vajra as well as his weapon. Vajra is a representation of ultimate sacrifice since it is made from the bones of Sage Dadhichi, who gave his bones in exchange for the development of this weapon.
