Three Wise Monkeys
The Shinto and Koshin faiths promote the maxim "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil," which the monkeys symbolize. The trio of monkeys; Mizaru, who doesn't perceive evil, is hiding his eyes. Kikazaru is plugging his ears and cannot hear evil. Iwazaru, who never talks evil, has his lips covered. Favorable thought draws a chain of positive circumstances—a basic concept to live by. Conversely, negative thoughts will have the opposite effect. The main roadblocks keeping us from success are fear, anxiety, tension, lack of confidence, and uncertainties.
