Rose Quartz
Based on the Greek tale involving Aphrodite and Adonis, rose quartz has come to be known as the stone of love and peace. When Aphrodite was wounded by a thorn bush while defending Adonis from an attack by Ares, their blood mingled with white quartz on the ground and turned it rose-pink. Later, it became usual for Romans to give the stone as a love gift. Love, the heart, and beauty are all connected to rose quartz. Rose quartz is believed to be calming and supportive of lasting friendships.
