Hanuman

Lord Hanuman represents unwavering devotion, total submission, and the lack of the ego or the lower self. His persona teaches us what we may do in life by being devoted followers of Rama, joining forces with the forces of good, aiding the weak, exercising self-control, having unwavering faith, and submitting completely. In his role as a well-known warrior of the Vanara tribe, he symbolizes the lower self or animal nature in man, which, when purified and changed, becomes stabilized in God and serves the divine cause in complete submission, just as it did in the case of Hanuman.
