Emerald

The emerald has long been associated with love and truth. Emerald was thought to be the precious stone of Venus, the goddess of love and hope, in ancient Greece and Rome. The Egyptians and Incas both venerated emeralds as a source of eternal life. Emeralds were thought to have been a gift from the ancient god of wisdom Thoth. The emerald is also referred to as a stone of intuition and is connected to seeing, the revealing of hidden truths and future events. Emeralds are also thought to provide a calming influence that gives the wearer's spirit vitality.
