Diamond
The Persian poet Hafiz once said that the beauty of a rainbow could be captured eternally within a diamond. Historically, diamonds were viewed as symbols of innocence and purity. The Greeks believed diamonds embodied the tears shed by Gods in sorrow. The Romans thought diamonds to be fragments from the outer rings of stars that had descended to our Earth.
