Coral is a living organism that emerged as the petrified remains of marine life. Coral represents pleasure and the delight of living life to the fullest and is highly revered by Tibetans and Native Americans. Coral is a precious symbol for protection and communication. Coral jewelry has been found in ancient Egyptian and prehistoric European burials and was especially popular during the Victorian age. Ancient Egyptians used coral pieces in tombs as protection against evil spirits in the afterworld, as it is believed to contain a drop of divine blood.
